Well...I am sitting here at 11:40 pm..I should be in bed, but the need to post is just too great and I am aggrevated because I cannot find my digital camara to upload recent pictures. I hope that husband of mine knows where it is...or I will be really sad.
None the less, I posted some pictures below of her photos from Tuesday. Thanks to Grammy, Drew and Stinky Poo Poo man(long story) Meredith warmed up to her pictures and we were able to get some really good shots. I just cannot believe how old she looks....It really is amazing.
I goes without saying that we have been busy. I really enjoyed our company last week, although we are still playing catch up on our sleep. I hope we are about there!!! Meredith had an incident right before our Kids program on Sunday evening. We noticed she was quiet and out of the corner of my eye I saw her drinking a bottle of Children's Motrin....to say the least I was freaking out. P.S.--those caps aren't childproof!! Thank God he protected her and no ill came from it, but she sure was a different child at the program. She was all hyped up and almost drunk acting. She ran around in circles during the program and mixed that in with a little singing. I so wanted to make an announcement that Meredith was not with us tonight, because of how crazy she was acting, but at least she had a cheerful heart. I am sure the onlookers thought that their suspicions were confirmed about her craziness, but I was mortified and had to really look at the positive...at least she was okay. I had a little run in when I called the Poison Control...they were SOOOOO rude and I hope none of you ever have to call them for advice. Needless to say, she crashed and burned that night.
Monday I was back to work in the nursery...it has been 18 months since I have been in there, but the night was great and I look forward to the next couple of months helping out in there. I guess it is getting me ready for Baby Avery. Tuesday was picture day and Wednesday was Ear appointment for Cory. We spent the first half of our day getting a second opinion on his hearing issues. The concensus was that Cory has endured a mild conductive hearing loss that is perminent. There could be some help with the pressure sensation that is driving him crazy, that either time or surgery again at a later date could fix. But for now the recommendation is to give it 6 months and reevalute then. I am much more comfortable at this Drs. office and other than Cory getting sick in the office while they were cleaning out his ear, I felt at peace when we left. Please continue to hold him up as he is still quite uncomfortable, I know the Lord can give him peace.
Tonight we went to orientation for Meredith's school. I was sooo happy when we got there. The director prayed with us and said some encouraging things and then we took Meredith to her classroom. It was so nice. Her teachers are Ms. Renee and Ms. Kim and they seemed excited. Meredith immediately got to playing and even cried when it was time to leave. We met some of the other parents, 1 of which we already knew, and 2 old faces from my past...it is a small world, but overall I am REALLY excited about her year starting next week. I almost wish she would be going 2 days a week, but I know God has her right where she needs to be.
As for Meredith, she is really loving singing right now. All day long and in the car she is singing 47 verses of whatever song is on her mind. I am trying to fill it with good songs that will encourage her throughout the day. Hopefully I will find that camara to get you ot some new pics but until then...enjoy her photo op!!
